Chicken is great and all but the real star in a good Hainanese Chicken Rice is the Rice itself. Dollee has blended the most fragrant ginger in Malaysia with garlics and shallots to produce a paste that simply is added to your standard rice cooker for a fragrant and mouthwatering Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Cooking Instructions

Prep. Time:as long as it takes your rice to cook


  1. 1 bottle Dollee Hainanese Chicken Rice Paste
  2. 750g (5 Cups) of fragrant rice
  3. 3-5 tbsp oil
  4. 900ml water
  1. Wash 750g (5 Cups) of fragrant rice.
  2. Add 3-5 Tablespoons of Oil and pour in 1 jar of DOLLEE Hainanese Chicken Rice Paste. Add 4 pieces of pandan (screwpine) leaves (optional).
  3. Add 900ml water and mix well. Stir once when rice is boiling
  4. Cover till rice is cook.




  1. For best flavour:
    • In place of water, use chicken broth or stock. Otherwise, you can add some chicken stock powder to the water.
    • Serve hot.
  2.  If you don’t need 5 cups of rice in one meal, just add the required amount of paste to the rice you are cooking, tightly close the bottle and keep it in the fridge for another day.
  3. While Hainanese Chicken Rice is traditionally served with steamed or boiled chicken, get creative! Serve this rice in place of potatoes with your favourite roasts or barbeque and watch as the plates are polished clean.
